HISTORY Born to Geoffrey and Sydney Brown, a wizard and a witch, Lavender showed signs of being a witch early on in life, much to the delight of the family. She received her letter to Hogwarts when she was eleven, and was sorted into Gryffindor house where she became close friends with Parvati Patil, whom she would later start a business with. Lavender excelled at Charms and Divination, earning decent marks in her other classes throughout her years at Hogwarts, but it was always fashion that kept Lavender’s interest. During the battle of Hogwarts, Lavender was attacked and bitten by the werewolf, Greyback, while he was in human form. She would have died, had Hermione Granger not hexed Greyback thus saving Lavender’s life. The years immediately following the end of her education at Hogwarts are some that Lavender prefers to forget, or at least dismiss. After being bitten, Lavender began to show some of the characteristics of a werewolf. Though she doesn’t turn into a werewolf at the full moon, during the days leading up to and especially on the night of the full moon, she craves red meat and sex – both of which she abused and had in excess during those years. It’s nothing she’s proud of, but it happened, and she’s gotten past it. Lavender has managed to stay focused on her job throughout her ordeals. She currently works for St. Mungo's as a manager for the gift shop.
